“I once heard that courage is the fool’s virtue, now you’ve heard it too!”Little Pegasus Derpy Hooves is one of the very few ponies who survived the darkness and escaped without being corrupted or enslaved. The day the Darkness invaded Equestria and Dark Dust’s legions terrorized the inhabitants from it, Derpy was attacked by a horrendous creature from Dark Dust’s army known as ‘the shepherd of silence’ who injured her terribly at the point of almost killing her. Dr. Hooves managed to save her, kill the shepherd and take Derpy to Zecora were they did their best to cure her, however the injuries done by the monster were to profound and strong and Zecora didn’t had enough resources to help her heal properly, as a result Derpy’s wings are now useless and she can no longer fly, however, she still holds her spirit and charisma and is most thankful to Dr. Hooves and Zecora for saving her life.
Derpy is the one who went to the human world in search of Lauren and guided her to Equestria as told by Zecora. Even when she is unable to fight, Derpy is always alongside Lauren, helping her the way she can, Derpy soon establishes a very special connection with Lauren as they both start to look at each other as good friends who always stick together no matter the danger or perils that my threaten them, this friendship is something totally new for Luaren who has spent most of her life seeking to avoid any kind of contact with any other person, but now she feels a lot better in company of Derpy.
