Somehow, I picture Joshua always smirking at Neku everything he sees him, because he knows something that Neku doesn't.
Once, I knew someone I really didn't like was getting fired that day at work, so when they did something else wrong I just smiled at them (I was one of the managers). Kinda like that.

Neku is actually reading the writing on the wall... Slowly in his head going "I'm a what?" and reading the phone numbers of those who wrote them... then questioning their sanity about writing their phone numbers on a wall... He later prank called them all.
Johsua however was having a hard enough time not looking down at Neku's crotch.
