Picture for the pokemon contest forIt was such a DEAD ON LAST MINUTE... actually LAST SECOND entry. I submitted 4 seconds before it turned midnight. Much much MUUUUUUUUUUCH stress.
Anyways, she's an eevee trainer, and tah-dah!! It's a well balanced team of goodness. I don't know her name is because I am absolutely horrible with names, so she's a Eevee trainer girl.

Well since I only used like 2 to 3 seconds on the previous BG, I actually spent time on choosing the right color and using my secondary idea of the pokeball. Because I did NOT like the blue one, and I received great BG crits from my artist friends and yes I DIDN'T LIKE it in the conclusion. My initial idea was to put the original Eevee silhouette as a BG but eh, simple and solid, straight to the point. My style.

I really like the composition of this picture, it's very active and it feels like everything is moving. Also, nothing is too crowded and it all works really well. Out of the 7 eeveelutions, I've found that this team is the most balanced, even though my favourite is espeon ( >.< it doesn't really give any advantages in most battles and just looks pretty... which is okay by me :3). I really wish that all of them could fit into one team, but I hope that they keep adding more to the eevee family!

I personally think this is a wonderful piece, showing the harmony you can find between the Eeves, all 6 of them. (Oops, forgot about Espeon! Haha!) The movement in this picture is perfect, it is a constant cycling of the Eeves; the Trainer eventually catches your eye after a dizzying travel around the page and the differently colored Eeves. I love it. I hope to see more eyecatching pieces such as this one--the world needs more Pokemon love. And, if this trainer needs a name, might I suggest Evelyn? (Vaporeon was my one of my favorites of all the Eeve evolutions, but I was a little disappointed in not seeing Espeon, I think it is the very best of all the "Eeve-lutions". Thank you for bringing another great Pokemon picture to this site!

I like this Eeveelution-obsessed lady. Normally, a team with even ONE of those Pokemon could be a Mary Sue warning, but she seems like she could actually be a great OC if you ever wanted to actually flesh out her personality. I imagine that she's a Pokemon Breeder rather than a typical Trainer (or maybe her parents are Breeders and she ONLY uses Eeveelutions).
Oh, and I love her design. I like the critiquer's idea of naming her Evelyn, too, unless you think it's too cheesy or something.

Great drawing! I was just wondering: Have you ever used GIMP before? If so, which is better: Paint Tool Sai, or GIMP? I have GIMP art the moment, but I'm wondering about swapping it for Paint Tool Sai, cause it might make any digital art I draw on it look a lot better than it does on GIMP.

I was just wondering, how do you get these on the internet? Do you like sketch them out on a piece of paper nd then upload it somehow? Or do you use some special program? I'd like to startΒ showing everyone my art, would especially love creating my own pokemon characters, so I would love it if you could tell me the gears of how these work....

Sure thing! Glad you're willing to share your creativity to the world!
You CAN work 100% digitally like I usually do, or you can scan in works you've done in various steps; some scan it in during the sketch phase and some relies on digital coloring, and of course you can just upload what you finish in any media.Β
Either way you DO need an image editing software to do so by first taking in the image, and using it's tools to shrink it down to a reasonable size then saving it for web to .png file format or .jpgΒ format. Those two work the best for me anyway.
There's countless softwares from free to super expensive, and tutorials to go along. I recommendΒ this freeware called Fire Alpaca for starters. I usually use Paint Tool SAI for most of my images and preparing for web posting.Β

Well she can only travel with 6 PokΓ©mon. In fairness Umbreon is just as cut and; if not, more powerful then Espeon. ONLY BECAUSE OF THE DARK VS PSYCHIC BUSINESS IN THE GAMES!! (So please... no hate comments thanks).

Kuro is a good name... It means "Black" Haha and theres Kurai, which is "dark" and Shinka, which means "evolution"... Just some name suggestions.

I hate to be all trolly, but I'm guessing the reason Espeon is not here, is simply because this is the trainer's team, and we all know that we can only have six on a team. And if it was a contest, I'm guessing that would have hurt her score...
