Contest Entry for Scribes-of-Nirn 's 'Wild and Spoopy' contest! :3

[3rd of Mid Year, 4E 201]

I saw one.
People have always speculated about dragons; where they came from, how they came to be, and if any female dragons even exist. People claimed dragon eggs were once found; but they simply turned out to be giant salamander's eggs when they hatched at last. People assume dragons just are, and have always been. And females? They do not exist.

But they do.
Oh, they do alright.
Female dragons are rare, even more rare than male dragons. In the entirety of recorded history, there have only been three sightings of one; of which two are only folk tales, and the man who wrote about the third sighting went mad only a few months later.
But they are very much here, and one of them has even hidden herself in Skyrim! I found her in a cave not too far from what remained of Helgen, led by the increasing amount of dragons in the area circling this particular mountain. And this cave was MASSIVE.
She must've dug it out by herself, and judging by the rubble at the entrance of it, must've had human company with her at some point as well. I was amazed, intrigued, terrified, everything at once. I had no idea what to possibly expect. Then she came out of her shell.

She had two heads, which seemed to share some connection through telepathy. She had wings so large they darkened the sky, casting a shadow on the entire cliff below her.
She has four legs, all equipped with claws the size of a fully-grown man; and her two tails swayed wildly as she rose to her feet, and let our a roar that made the ground shake as if the gods themselves had spoken through her.
When she took flight, the trees below her bent in the gusts of wind coming from her wings. And when she was gone, she had taken the dragons with her, leaving nothing but a gaping hole in the landscape behind.
She was beautiful, in every way.
I want to see her again.

Where do dragons come from? One cannot assume they just existed as adults since they day they were created. Surely, female dragons must exist? 7^7
This is my take on one, a massive boss monster for any player to enjoy! OwO/

The art piece turned out alright; I'm SUPER proud of the dragon, but the background ended up a little mweh in comparison to what I had envisioned. But hey, I'm exploring and learning as I do, and I'm happy with the outcome! >:3

Also, I'm absolutely making an oc outta her. I love her too much not to. 7^7
