I swear that Jake here has a vague resemblance to Roan from Ragnarok: the Animation. But anyway, great job!

Roan is just some sort of holy warrior (Crusader) in another show. Jake looks a little like him a in this one. Another thing is that Roan has some sort of spell thingy called "Devotion", so it kinda reminded me of Roan when I saw Jake in your style plus the title. But anyway, the pic is awesome!

This is pretty cool. The only suggestion that comes to mind is to use another darker colour for darker shading again. Also, try using two levels of highlights. I think overall it will help it look a bit more realistic (but not so much so as to ruin the style).

In a picture like this, with the fire-y background, the shades should be much darker and you could try giving his skin a little orangy glow...
