But in my heart, I am a gamer."Last night, the gaming community learnt Nintendo's beloved president Satoru Iwata passed away on July 11th. He was an intelligent, creative, inventive man who helped bring Nintendo into the 21st century. This is the man who created a video game on a calculator. Who helped found HAL Laboratory where Kirby and Earthbound were created. Helped develop the Wii to bring families and new/old audiences to Nintendo. Slashed his own salary in two to prevent anyone in Nintendo being fired. He was a great wonderful man and he shall be missed.
Rest in peace, Iwata-san.
