Description Field Report R219//T/1820Z- Filed by

1. The attached images depict a specimen of the animal described in our prev transmit dated . Hopefully this will convince that further investigation is warranted.

2. Animal is about 25cm in length. Resting weight is 942g. Excessive amounts of tranquilizer required to determine resting weight. Animal recovered from a dose weight of of Telazol within 30 minutes of exposure. See separate injury report for , who was attending at the time.

3. We recovered this specimen from the region. It honestly resembles some kind of cross between a tiger and a rat, so we have begun calling it a tygrat. Extremely aggressive. The region has no modern native tiger population, though it is within the former range of P. t. virgata. Request verification on current status of that species.

4. Image files attached.

This sculpture was done with Super Sculpey clay over wire armature. Painted with Delta Ceramcoat paints, since I finally ran out of most of my Citadel colors and that stuff is expensive.

Man, I like the piece by itself ... reminds me vaguely of the old After Man stuff, but the field notes are brilliantly done! Make the thing alive in a whole 'nother dimension to me

Thanks for the comments.

I'm glad the whole field report thing has gone over well. I think a bit of back story adds a lot to the piece.

Googlerhoo [2009-09-11 06:20:30 +0000 UTC]

Interesting, to me it looks much bigger in the snow than it does in the other photos. Could this be that I associate tigers much more with outside than rats thus it looks bigger outside as it's more tiger-like/associated... interesting.

Anyway, enough rambling, great monster, you've very nicely incorporated aspects of the tiger's and rat's anatomy into a very well done and convincing piece, great.

Great sculpture! I would have to admit that I disagree with it being rat-like. To me the chimera aspects seem more like that of a weasel than a rodent. Otherwise, great job!

This was made out of SCULPEY? It looks like a finely crafted wooden figure, especially with all the etching marks. O__O

Great job on the vibrant color. The paint is professional, definitely.

I like the snow, too. XD And the description is great. You really had me! If you don't write, maybe you should!

And congrats on the DD. Good luck with all the traffic and comments! ^^
