Description
paging through the Horimiya manga i bought last week and scribbled a couple eyes based off the style used in the manga....then i felt like drawing a few of the styles i use on a regular basis.this isn't strictly a tutorial, so i won't go into detail about each one. if you're curious about how to color one of these, just ask and i'll walk you through it. i promise they're all SUPER EASY!! like less than 6 steps per eye.
RED: this one is usually painted with more detail; i don't use it very often anymore, it's mostly in my 2013 and earlier works.
TEAL: super super simple, one i usually use in my sketches or when i draw something simple. it's based on those anime eyes you see on pics pulled from an 'anime' search on Google images.
GREEN and MAGENTA: my default, everyday style. it's simple and you can play around with it a lot. by changing the lighting and shapes you use in coloring, you can get different looks.
LIGHT BLUE: eyes referenced from my favorite anime, Nagi no Asukara. this is as close as i can get with FireAlpaca (it doesn't have the layer style i would prefer to use), and it's simplified a bit for ease of coloring. there are two ways to add the final touch- by using overlay or lowering the brush's opacity. lowered opacity mimics the anime better, but i like the look of the overlay one for certain eye colors.
PURPLE and DARK BLUE: eyes referenced from Horimiya. Dark Blue is a simplified version of the style used in the cover art, Purple is the one used in regular manga panels.
