i have been watching 's gallery for a while, and i have noticed much of her self portraits looked like charcoal drawings. so i took a crack at it myself, and i'm quite pleased with the end result.took a couple of hours.

The fact that you included the contact lens in your drawing is probably the only clue that the proportions are slightly off...

they probably are... they contact in the original picture was not as prominent as it is in this one.

The only reason it is noticeable is because the distance from the edge of the contact to the edge of the iris if very different...
if you would have omitted the contact lens it would not be noticeable...
