Description
This is actually the first Sonic the Hedgehog: The Final War design to have a render feel to it. Cosmo appears as a temporary ally for Sonic's story in Final War, as she can only team up with Sonic and his allies prior to the Limbo chapter in the domain of the afterlife due to being dead. The Devilhogs depicted here are a breed known as the "Plaguewing"; the sky-dwelling relative of the "Hunter" Devilhogs and one of many Devilhog species in Destral's army that roams the skies.

Abilities: Flight (gained in Limbo, but can only be used when her angel wings aren't worn out), channeling light into orbs that damage foes (gained in Limbo), healing magic (learned from a dead soul in limbo), teleportation (gained in Limbo, but easily tires her)

Bio (in Final War): When the Devilhog army invaded Limbo in an attempt to harvest souls to use to ressurect Destral for their masters, Cosmo deliberately disobeyed Galaxina's instructions to stay safe and brought herself into the battlefield to face the forces threatening the world of the afterlife alone. She was saved from falling into the void of this purgatory by - to her shock - Tails, who had come with Sonic and his small team of heroes under Layla's instructions after learning the Devilhogs were running rampant in Limbo. Tails - upon seeing Cosmo again for the first time in years - was quick to tears after driving the Devilhogs out of Limbo, due to still having some depression caused by killing her. Cosmo merely smiled, and told Tails that when the war with Destral blows over, she would try to convince the unseen ruler of Limbo to allow her to come back to the world of the living; but it would take some time, and Tails would also have to do his part.

When the raid on the Brotherhood Stronghold came to happen, Cosmo began to freak out while watching from Limbo when a Devilhog Hunter decapitated one of Tails' arms, praying that he survived the attack. (Thankfully he did, but he was no longer in any position to remain on the battlefield as the injury was slowly killing him) After this attack, Cosmo appeared to bring Tails to Limbo where he would be safe from any further injury and get the immediate medical care that needed to be given to keep his critical injury from killing him. (This would later allow Tails to make his bionic arm after surviving the injury through this medical care) Mina Mongoose begrudgingly let Tails go with Cosmo upon realizing that those two had a bond that was forcibly taken away from Tails; even realizing that Tails must have had some secret reason for manipulating the timeline to force his relationship with Mina herself to exist; almost as if he was trying to make sure what happened back then would never happen again.

Since her death, Cosmo has secretly trained with a dead soul who is eternally trapped in Limbo to master her newly gained abilities, as well as learn healing magic behind her parents' back in the afterlife. Her mastery of these skills can be seen through her precision aiming with her orbs of light energy, as well as how nimble she is on both the ground and the air by manipulating how her wings are folded.
