Undines are Elemental Demons who are very similar to Jellyfish in appearance, with a large bell forming the main body and long tentacles stretching from them, but were a jellyfish is 95% water, the Undine appears to be made out of 100% water, making it all the more mysterious as to how these Demons can even function as a living thing, lacking pretty much everything most living things need to be classified as alive, no one is sure how an Undine actually functions and studying them is both difficult and dangerous to do.

These demons are able to manipulate water in many ways, being able to freely control any water source within a 3m radius, which they can use to frightening effect when in combat.
and considering they make their homes in areas such as lakes, rivers and even coastal regions, there is always plenty of water around for the Undine to use

Their control over water ranges from able to also increase and decrease the density of the water around them in an incredible feat of Hydrokenetic abilities.
This control even goes as far as to manipulate its own bodies hydromorphic structure, by increasing the density of its body, the Undine can make most physical attacks bounce right off their bodies, as if they were made up of a strong jelly, this density increase can even be used to prevent a foe from escaping their bodies, effectively turning the Undine itself into a living prison.

An effective way to deal with an Undine is either to electrocute it, as it's body conducts electricity very easily, it will disrupt the Demons shape and force its molecules to break apart, killing it in the process.
Another effective method is heat interestingly enough, if you are able to either freeze of boil the water in its area it will struggle to control the moisture, with the Undine preferring to control water that is still within a liquid state.

The only hard parts of the Undine is made up of material that the Demon gathers as it drifts about, usually being made of things like Fish, shells and even small bits of jewelry has been found floating within an Undines body.
No one is certain why they do this, most believe it's fully accidental, but others believe it to be for decoration or even identification among other Undines.
This theory comes from the fact that no Undine looks alike, meaning it could be how these faceless demons show their own bit of identity.
Some witnesses have stated that they have seen Undines grow frantic and stressed when specific items have been removed from them, almost as if they show attachments for the trinkets.

A surprisingly common accessory that has been noticed in many individuals of Undine, are Shark Jaws being held near the center of their Bells, which they can use to great effect being able to recreate the incredible bite force of a shark to tear their target to shreds.
There have been stories of some fisherman finding the corpses of sharks on the beach, all of them seeming to have had their jaw bones violently ripped out, most likely these fish were victims to an Undine, seeking some new decorative trinkets to add to its collection.

So i recently read up on a myth about the 4 cardinal elements and after realizing that i already did the Salamander, so i thought i should do the other 3 Elementals while i'm at it

The Undine here was the trickiest to design of the 3 Elementals, taking me 3 days to figure out what i even wanted to go for, with each time ending with "SCREW IT, i'll do the other 1" meaning this was the final 1 i actually drew
(stay tuned for the others at a later date)

i went for a Jellyfish design due to the whole "made of 95% water" thing, but i wanted to spice it up a bit and drew some shark influence in there with the jaws and shape
i was GOING to have some Dolphin elements, but i struggled way too much with it
Later i thought of how you could make Solid parts in a fully water based creature make sense so i decided to give them a bit of a fashion sense, meaning a Dolphin based 1 CAN still exist i guess
it also made a faceless creature like this have a bit of personality, which i feel adds tot he mystery of them, either way really i hope you all like this

I post this NOW because apparently it is MERMAY and with Undines typically being depicted as a Mermaid like creature, it seemed fitting
