The Moonglow Fuzzbuzz, colloquially known by just it's species name "fuzzbuzz", is the most common and most well known species of fuzzbuzz in Loonia. They exhibit extreme adaptability and can be found in almost any environment. This species of fuzzbuzz is nocturnal. They can feed on any kind of nectar, but their favorite nectar comes from the moon lily flower which only opens its petals at night time.

Moonglow fuzzbuzz are most commonly very pale in coloration, with mostly silver or pastel bodies and white underbellies. However it is not uncommon to find moonglow fuzzbuzz in much more vibrant, saturated colors. Darker colorations and black are the least common.

Every moonglow fuzzbuzz is born with a glowing bulb on the end of it's tail. It always glows, even when asleep. Some fuzzbuzz can even be seen glowing through the egg shortly before hatching. The inner ears and wing feathers can also glow but do not do so always.

- The moonglow fuzzbuzz is notably not very smart.
- The moon lily that moonglow fuzzbuzz like to feed on glows whenever it opens it's petals. Because of this, moonglow fuzzbuzz will flock to any light source at nighttime to investigate if the glow is coming from a moon lily. Because the fuzzbuzz also glows itself, they often get distracted by each other.
- There is an old folklore story that states moonglow fuzzbuzz are fallen stars.
- Surprisingly, the least common colors of fuzzbuzz, the dark or black ones, are usually the ones that live the longest in the wild. But they are still the rarest because do not seem to attract very many mates.
