Description
The taint of sin is not easy to purge. Such horrid blasphemies do not just simply wash away. It is a presence, an energy. One that cannot be wiped clean or eliminated. One cannot clear their forms of their sins, but they can transfer them. To the living vessels, one's sins shall go. Those who will bear the burdens of grievous errors and unforgivable acts. Their skin shall be lashed and torn, to open the door for the rotten energy. The sinners shall too be whipped and scarred, so that their sin may leak from their wounds. Into the bloody doors will the taint flow, to be held within these Absolvers. The errors that slither into their lashings will be sealed within, never able to escape the yawning hole of their souls. And with such burden upon their forms, they shall be punished. Hanging from the great arches, they strike and tear at their own flesh. The rain of their bodily fluids shall douse the praising masses, a storm of past sins and future forgiveness.

Their muffled mouths make no sound, only the crack of their whips and the ripping of their skin shall be heard. It is the sound of forgiveness, the sound of redemption. Come forth sinner, and be forgiven for your trespasses...

I remember when I drew this guy, he was an absolute pain to do. A crap ton of outlining, and then filling in the scars and the straps. Went through a lot of lead doing this one. This is one of those things you draw once!
