- "Since its head is no longer attached, a Blazerus carries it with them so that they can still see. Since this method of navigation is tricky, they will use one of their antenna as a whip to stun prey to make hunting easier."

Some time ago, I was playing around with fakemon ideas for the fun of it and brainstormed some ideas for cockroach-based pokemon. With all the myths and stories of cockroaches, I felt that there was some fun to be had with them. I never really nailed down the proper cartoony look, or designs for all of them, but here is one of the things I doodled up.

nice Fakemon!, i love the dark green ectoplasmic smoke from the neck and head, it fits the ghost-typing.
still waiting for the Pishtaco mosquito i suggested.

Thanks! It was either doing the dark green smoke, or purple, but I felt that a lot of ghost types have the purple coloring already.
I have not had the chance to work on that yet. Been busy with job hunting, commission work and a family vacation. I will get to it it though! I have not forgotten about it.

i understand, anyway speaking of the artstyle, a "proper cartoony" look would never work here, so i would describe your Fakemon style to be semi-realistic plus fantastical, so... i guess legendaries and mythicals would be more alien-looking.
remember Zygarde and Necrozma/Ultra Necrozma?, now those legends were bizarre, that is why i like them, including the alien Ultra Beasts.

The inability for me to figure out a way to get the proper cartoony look to fly with these designs is a chunk of the reason why these remained as doodles. I couldn't find a way to simplify things while still getting the look right, so I just drew them as I normally would.
