Description
While Stomas is the caption of the Sea Goblin, every good pirate ship needs a loyal crew. When Stomas first set out into the field of pillaging and plundering, he gathered together a group of various sea creatures to join the party. Though their reasons for joining may vary, most of the crew enjoys the pirating life and loves the thrill of the hunt. With Captain Stomas at the helm, they stalk the oceanic trade routes in search of fat, cargo-heavy prey. When the goods are taken and the opponent is sinking to the ocean floor, the crew is always sure to bust out the good times and celebrate their victory. These are four out of the seven main crew members who follow Captain Stomas and run the dreaded Sea Goblin:
Lophiel the Frogfish - Though small and squat, Lophiel makes up for her awkward size with her lightening fast lure and rough demeanor. While some may find it hard to believe, she serves as the muscle of the crew, able to easily push the barnacle cannons into place or shove around heavy cargo. When it comes to attacking other ships, she is a terror to the enemy crew. While her fins may make her slow, her prehensile lure can strike like a whip and cause all sorts of chaos. While the Sea Goblin closes in for boarding, Lophiel will use her hook to snare enemy crew members and yank them off the sides of their ship. When the crew boards, she will hook herself to the ropes and masts so that she can swing her body around like a wrecking ball. She prefers to knock foes overboard, but if combat gets up close, she can gut them with her bladed lure or bite them with her quite flexible mouth. In and outside battle, she is a very blunt being who doesn't care if she appears rough or rude. She is happy to follow orders and do her job, but she has very little patience for everything else. During celebrations, she often sits back with Hexel as she enjoys the food and drink, happy to be with a coworker that doesn't talk. Due to her warty body and gruff attitude, many surface dwellers often assume she is a male, which is a good way to get youself hooked and keelhauled.
Styles the Tube Eye - Styles is a sneaky, quick creature with a personality to match. He quickly slithers about on his serpent-like body, always getting into things he shouldn't. He is a slimy character who loves to mock and insult others, which makes the pirate life perfect for him. Watching the enemy crew struggle and fail is endlessly amusing to him, and he often finds way to make boardings even more "fun." This usually means setting up traps or throwing foes into ludicrous scenarios just so he can laugh at their confused misery. These pranks can range from complex tricks to simply tripping an enemy with his thin tail and watching them faceplant into a mast. His love of making fun of people can some times to be aimed at the crew, making pranks to startle or embarrass his coworkers. This does not happen as often, since Stomas reprimanded him once, but the real reason behind his back down was when he tried to pull a trick on Lophiel. The prank had gone off as expected, but the jamming of his body into a barnacle cannon and the threat of firing it had not been in his plan. Needless to say, if he does try to trick someone, it isn't going to be on Lophiel. In battle, his whip-like body makes him a fast and agile opponent. Foes will find him difficult to hit, as he zips around and slithers past their swings. Though his speed is a good weapon, that is not what he enjoys fighting with. Styles prefers to go into battle with a barrel of ale and a torch in hand. Guzzling down large amounts of the flammable liquid, he uses his specialized mouth to spray it through his torch. This allows him to shoot streams of fire at opponents, which does a good job of terrifying and disorienting the enemy crew. Often, Styles will be the first one launched aboard so that he can hose the area down in fire. While their foes scramble, the rest of the crew will board and take advantage of the chaos. Since the flames he spits are fueled by alcohol, the fire isn't all that hot or long lasting. When faced with a burning stream of it, though, not many people care to stick around and find that out.
Hexel the Sea Golem(?) - Hexel is....Hexel. No one is really sure what Hexel is or why Hexel really joined the Sea Goblin crew. The consensus is that Hexel is some kind of oceanic golem, but there is no real way to confirm it, as Hexel can't (or won't) talk. While some would consider Hexel to be the muscle, due to its strength and weight, Hexel is considered more as a siege weapon. Hexel takes orders without skipping a beat and performs its task with robotic efficiency. Any chore that requires heavy lifting is left up to Hexel, as its strength easily beats everyone else's. When it comes time to attack other vessels, Hexel acts more as a part of the ship rather than a crew member. Able to lift and fire a barnacle cannon without any trouble, Hexel becomes a turret that is used to hit specific spots of an enemy ship. When the Sea Goblin closes in for boarding, Hexel will launch its anchor arm and embed into the side of the foe's vessel. Locking itself in place and pulling back with an obscene amount of strength, Hexel is able to keep the boarded vessel trapped against the Sea Goblin, removing all hope of escape. Foes who try to attack it will find such efforts useless, as blades clang off its rocky exterior. Getting close to Hexel is also a dumb move, as it can snare attackers with its stinging tentacles, which can release agonizing venom on command. If an attack is going poorly, and the Sea Goblin crew is fighting a losing battle, Stomas may order Hexel to unleash its most devastating weapon. Used only when no other option is available, Hexel will stomp its way over the enemy vessel and slowly climb aboard. It will push through the attackers and position itself at the center of the foe's boat. There, Hexel will use its weight and power to utterly destroy the enemy by...jumping. Due to Hexel's heavy body, such a simple action will send shock waves throughout the ship. The boards and supports beneath its feet will crack and creak, finally giving way to the massive force. Once the ground gives way beneath Hexel, the enemy is doomed. Hexel will plummet through the ship like a meteor, smashing through layer after layer until it bursts out of the bottom. This results in the opponent's vessel having a giant hole in the middle of their ship, which will quickly sink into the ocean. The Sea Goblin crew is quite comfortable with ocean water, but their foes usually are not. The crew will climb back aboard the Sea Goblin and try to salvage what goods remain on the surface. Then they will dive down into the ocean, looking to recover the golem that is patiently waiting at the bottom.
Graller the Tripod Fish - Graller joined the Sea Goblin crew due to his love for swashbuckling and adventures. The life of a pirate sounded amazing to him, as it was filled with action, challenge, excitement and treasure. While the others enjoy the job for the same reasons, Graller's views tend to romanticize things a lot more. Each sword duel is a battle of skill and nobility, each stolen crate hauled aboard is like the treasure of the gods. It is even more so when the crew returns to the ocean floor and distributes their goodies to the others down below. Graller sees this as a great act of charity and bravery, as they take from the evil, rich surface dwellers and give to those who struggle in the deep waters. While his love for the job may make him seem like a delusional fool, Graller was not hired aboard for his musings. His fins possess long prehensile appendages that can be hardened and contorted with extreme precision. In a flash, Graller can turn these limp tentacles into flexible rapiers. He uses the lower three to create a tripod of sharp legs to skitter about on, while the blades on the fore fins are used for fencing. With sharp tips and a composition that is hard as steel, Graller uses them like a lance or rapier. His fighting technique uses a lot of jabs, stabs and feints, as he clashes with swords and blades. He views every brawl he gets into as a duel, a test of skill and precision. He loves these "noble" fights so much that he will sometimes give the opponent a chance to recover just so that the duel can last a little longer. His obsession with battle can easily be seen on his scarred body, with each healed injury a "tale of daring battles and deadly duels." Early on, Graller lost one of his eyes in a sword fight, but that hasn't slowed him down in the slightest. While others may point out that he needs to be more careful, Graller always comments that he has "another one to spare." No one is really sure that Graller grasps the concept of blindness. Though at times his poetic musings and grand speeches may seem annoying, Graller can always be counted on to keep morale up and turn every celebratory dinner into a party. Outside of battle, he is always a gentlemen who makes sure to follow all the proper customs and rules. Chrystine and Glesni adore this polite and proper side, though Lophiel can't stand a second of it.

If the captain gets an update, the crew does too! Well, most of them. We still have others to introduce!

Well...
I'd give Lophiel a good space. If I am not mistaken, female frogfish are larger than males.
Styles seems to be the guy I'd rather be away from
Hexel...I'd leave it alone.
Graller is more tolerable. If I had to chose to stay with one of them, it'd be him.

A good choice! Though, Lophiel is decent to be around as long as you stay quiet and do your job.

I'm the quiet person, it's you who has to start the conversation to get me going.

Well then you would work perfectly with Lophiel, because she wouldn't want to start a conversation and all would be quiet!

Yep! Be posting the other half soon! As for drawing the Sea Goblin...maybe. Perhaps I will sometime in the future, as it will take some time to even learn how to draw a ship, and then deck it out with all the stuff the Sea Goblin has growing on it. For some reason I have the hardest time drawing transports and vehicles. It's weird.
