Description We all know the stories of the Gods. The tales of their conquests and celebrations, as they stand in the heavens above our heads. How they talk of the grand feasts and the thunderous parties. The incredible adventures and the earth-shattering battles. These stories were told to us as children, and to this day we still cling to them. For so long we have listened, but only now have we begun to question them. Tiny details in this woven tapestry do not make sense, and they bring about questions we fear to even ask. Why do the gods eat and drink? If they are such heavenly beings, why do they care for hunger and taste? Do they gain nourishment from these meals? Do they know the pains of starvation? We hear from the tales that they bleed, so perhaps they hunger. Perhaps deep inside them lie godly organs and ascended tissues that function much like ours. In one way, that thought brings comfort. Despite their great power and origins, the Gods are much like us. Thinking any farther, though, takes away such peace. Because if they are like us, then they must suffer the horrors that we must. The vile, slimy things that enter our bodies and defile our flesh. The gnawing creatures that latch to our hearts and dwell in our guts. If we are to suffer from there, then so must they, which makes one wonder: What parasites hide within the flesh of the Gods?

An update for an old guy, and I still got to say that the name Giant Thorny Headed Worm of Swine is one of the more awesome common species names.
