Melaini Collo is the official photographer for the Gramptstampl Gazette, using her unique skills and abilities to help liven up the pages of Mr. Pulst's newspaper. While it is her task to grab interesting photos to put in the newspaper, she spends most of her time working besides Mucks Pulst and following him on crazed hunts for questionable stories. As lead camerawoman, she uses her eyes to capture images which are then stored in her removable brain. Her main extended eye can zoom in and focus on scene, and it is what takes the picture. Her other eye is capable of creating light, and will emit bright flashes to help take photos in dark areas. With a good eye for framing and lighting, Melaini is one of the best in her field, but that isn't what Mr. Pulst hired her for. Since her picture-taking abilities are linked to her brain, she is capable of actually altering images that she sees. By using her imagination, she can change a shot she is about to take to add in different people, objects or text, especially ones that make the image much more scandalous. Mucks absolutely loves this ability of hers, and encourages her to use it with reckless abandon. Those who are a target in her lens should be wary about what they are doing or holding. Many victims who have been caught reading a book or newspaper will suddenly find a photo of them enjoying wonderful tomes such as "The Filthy Cannibal's Digest" or "10 Simple Tricks to Exterminate the Disgusting Infidels" smeared across the new stands.

As Melaini takes photos and adds them to her brain, she will eventually run out of space to store them. This is why she carries around a special container, as it holds spare brains for her to swap. Once filled up with scandalous imagery, she will pop out her brain and switch it out with an empty one. After the excursion or interview is over, she will return to the office and find her coworker Moorder. She will give the filled brains to him, and he will swallow them and develop the images that are trapped within. Since the two work together often, she is good friends with Moorder and the two often chat around the fluid cooler. She doesn't quite understand why people are terrified of Moorder and always assume he is some deranged murderer. Yes, he isn't much of a talker, and he stares quite a lot and tends to stick to dark shadows, but he is quite the gentleman once you get to know him! As for her working relationship with Mr. Pulst, that can be a bit rocky at times. She enjoys working at his business and really loves the experience it gives her, but at times he can really try her patience. His sheer desire to capture every scandal and breaking store often has him dragging her around with little to no warning. Melaini has long since stopped maintaining a work calendar, as she will know what jobs she has that day when Mr. Pulst grabs her and starts running out the door screaming about the next big scoop. At least the pay is good and the position is great for her resume...

Since I updated Mucks Pulst, it makes sense I eventually go through and fix up the entire crew. Melaini is a semi-new character, as the last photo creature didn't quite grab me with its design. Turning them into a female worked out better too, as the drape cloth for the camera was perfect for long hair.
