Description
Redheads start off their cycle as large, jellyfish-like creatures. They crawl about on four stubby tentacles, usually slithering up onto ceilings or other high places. Besides their large bell and tendrils, Redheads have little else to their bodies. Their "mouth" is just an elastic opening on their underside, and it has no way to process food. Rather than searching for a meal, Redheads are looking for hosts to parasitize. Hiding up on high places, they wait for victims to wander down below. Once a target places itself beneath their hiding place, it will drop down and latch on with its thick tentacles. Though they possess no stingers or barbs, their tendrils are incredibly strong, making them nearly impossible to dislodge. The Redhead will make its way to the targets head and engulf with their stretching maw. Their mouth will make a tight seal around the victim's neck, and the bell will begin to flush itself with a crimson soup. This red liquid is a mix of digestive fluid and hormones, which is constantly pumped in to keep the victim's head submerged. The digesting process takes hours to complete, but many victims will have suffocated long before it is done. When the digestive fluid finishes its work, all that one can see is the victim's skull peering from the red soup. This is not the end of its process, though, as Redheads do much more than liquidizing one's face. The soup they create will make its way into the victim's body, slowly replacing all other fluids. This triggers a transformation process, which slowly changes the victim's anatomy to suit them. Skin, muscle and bone are slowly warped, as the Redhead makes the body more flexible. Limbs and digits eventually become thick tendrils that they can use to subdue prey. The skin will thicken, in order to create a more durable shell. The aim of a Redhead is to make its victim corpse into a proper vehicle that it can use to hunt down and trap prey. Using its soup, it can control this changing body and use it to find more victims. Prey is seized in its powerful grip and subdued so the next process can begin. Locating a proper orifice, the Redhead will use its new fluid-filled limbs to forcefully pump red liquid into their bodies. This "soup"is different from the one it uses to parasitize prey. This fluid contains a cocktail of neurotoxins, digestive enzymes and thousands of microscopic eggs. This force fed meal will immobilize prey and slowly liquefy them from the inside. This slowly degradation of their body provides nutrients to the thousands of eggs that are within them, allowing more Redheads to grow. As the young develop, the original Redhead will remain latched on to the dead victim, protecting them from outside threats. Once the young have reached a certain stage, the Redhead will drag the corpse to a hidden location and leave it there. They will then return to the hunt, seeking another host for its ravenous brood.--------------------------------------------
Another monster based on jellyfish, because why not?

None that I know of. I would recommend a very spiky helmet instead.

(swearword). ah well, at least us Orcs love our spikes, so some Orcish armor should be good enough. I hope
Where do they live, by the way? and what are they particularly weak against, if i may ask?

They live in any place that is either wet or has water nearby, as well as environments that have high places to hide. They can be found in caves, marshes or even forests that are close to water. They would be weak to cutting or piercing weapons, which can be used to puncture their bells or cut off their tendrils.

i see. have to remind taking some pointy equipment when nearing such a place when i'm on the planet they live on, then.
seriously, the fact that they absorb the bodies is quite messed up in my eyes. and i mean that as a compliment!
