Description Immortality. The power of the Gods. Some could say it is creation or destruction that is the power of the Gods, but no, it is immortality. We mortals can create and destroy. We control wind, earth, fire and water. What makes the Gods so special? It is their immortality. The power to live forever. The power to heal from any wounds, regenerate destroyed bodies. Can we do that? I think not. And what a strange thing it is. To feel pain, but have no traces of it. No scars, scabs or stitches. Just pristine, flawless flesh. To have a limb torn from your own body, only to have a new one grow back. Just as perfect and efficient as the last. But that brings to question: What happens to that other limb? That severed hand? What happens to the flesh of Gods when it is no longer attached? Is it dead? Is it alive? How could it be dead? The flesh of Gods knows no death, that would be impossible. Perhaps it still lives, drifting through time and space. Twitching and moving as it recalls past times and ancient functions. A remnant of the mind that once inhabited it, now lost and severed from the central consciousness. What does it remember? What does it forget? Perhaps it still thinks it is one. Still believes that it belongs. Maybe, out there in the abyss, the lost flesh drifts sleeping, dreaming of the God it once was.....

AKA Third Arms the Charm, because this my third time trying to draw this concept, and I think I finally got it right. Last one was too clean and intact. Needed something that looked mangled and malformed, trying to reclaim its lost body.

What if you ATE a piece of a god?

I imagine it would either be digested and assimilated into your body, allowing you to gain its powers, or its regeneration would hijack your body and use your flesh to construct a crude form. That or its regenerative powers would make it impossible to digest and it would pass through your system no worse than before.

That or its regenerative powers would make it impossible to digest and it would pass through your system no worse than before.I'm reminded of a bit of lore from Warhammer about a goblin chieftain who ate a chunk of troll meat on a dare, in a setting where trolls can regenerate perfectly from almost any injury, and ended up with a chunk of formless flesh in his gut stuck in an endless cycle of regenerating and being digested. On the one hand, he doesn't need to eat anymore and has gained a limited form of a troll's regenerative abilities. On the other hand, he has a permanent case of indigestion, a rather bad case of lifelong gas and constant stomachaches.

And when it finds its lost body? And sees it has a new arm, that it has been replaced by someone else...

Yeah, it is not going to be too happy about that...
