The heroes have plot armor. They never get hurt because they are the heroes of the show. So they will survive, even if they don't deserve to win. That's a kids'show, unfortunately. But Thrawn would deserve to win because he is far more intelligent and interesting than them.

It means you don't know the character, then. He has noble goals. You should read the upcoming book "Thrawn" that will be released in April, you'll understand the character and his motives better. He is not an asshole at all.

I could've sworn I had this in my favorites, but I guess not???? But I've had this saved on my hard drive in my Star Wars folder for pictures for years (like before I was ever really on DA I think). I've always loved this rendition of him, and I still do! Not to mention this style. I just can't get over how you did his eyes - they look amazing. And his HAIR is so detailed omg. And just his whole expression, I love it. I love all of this. It's such fabulous work, I don't even care if it's "old." It's great and time won't change that! I like this even more than the "official" depictions of him (like the one on the Outbound Flight cover I just...????? am like, NO). I like his narrower features you gave him, and the high and sharp cheekbones. It's just fantastic.

Awww thank you so much, that's kind of you. Yes Thrawn on the US/European Outbound flight cover is very strange, and his hair... it looks like the haircut of an old french singer I know, haha. I prefer the japanese cover of Outbound flight, did you see it? Thrawn is very handsome on it.

Ooooh no I haven't seen any other version (I don't think?) just the US one. I mean it's good art in itself, it just... is not at all how I pictured Thrawn even remotely. I'd like to see the Japanese one if you have it!

I read "Dark Force Rising". I didn't know it was part of a trilogy. I may have to look for them to read the whole series. Great picture.

You mean you started with the 2nd book of the trilogy? and you didn't realize there was something missing, the beginning of the story for example?

Yeah. I wasn't in a position to make too many book purchases, even though I'm a big reader (not big as in body size) of sci-fi, I missed this series. But, I've done that so many times because I rarely go into book stores and miss a lot of books when they first come out.

But you can still find these books on amazon on websites like this. They even published again that trilogy under the label "Star wars Legends" recently.

Ahhh so that's the series where Thrawn is from! I just noticed this in your gallery! My fiance taught me about him recently, but all I've been able to learn about him is what's on wikipedia and starwars wiki.

I just read the first chapter of Heir of the Empire today and found this incredible "man" (or chiss XD). He's such a great character, so well balanced and so unlike the other Imperial officers. I will totally cheer for him for the rest of the trilogy!

I'm happy you discovered one of the best characters of the SW expended universe 
after that trilogy you can also read the 2 books "The Hand of Thrawn" ("Specter of the past" and "Vision of the future") and also the very good "Ountbound flight" (with younger Thrawn in it)

I like Thrawn because he's a very interesting character, fond of art, admired by his troops, and genial. I don't like Napoleon, but I think Thrawn is a Napoleonic figure, a Romantic one, a leader who can inspire his men. That's the first feeling reading about him.
May you tell me something about the plot of those three books and if Timothy Zahn is the author? Thank you!
