Is Sony a good brand of dslr?
I want to have one, but mostly, people recommend NIKON.
I think Sony is good too.

Sony Advantages:
cheaper
easier to work with
more mega pixels
*the reason to why having more mp would be good. eg: safari trip, you don't want to get to close to an animal so you take the pic far away, then when you get home you can crop the part that you want (with the animal) so that it will still be clear, almost as if you took the picture up close.
Nikon:
color in photograph (not washed out)
more tools (light meter) *good for night time or fast shutter speed.
Pentax is another good brand but I have not worked with it much.
Also I think that when buying in the Philippines Pentax would be a better choice in terms of warrantee but very little difference from the other two.

I'm saving for one of these What's the difference between this one, the A200 and A300 and the Canon 350D
Which one would you recommend me to buy
?

Well first of all...its way ahead of the older ones but not that much different from the Canon 350D. Personally, although this one just came out and you probably want to get one NOW!!! I would wait for another year because the canon will probably come out with a new one by then and since it was already "almost" as good as the Sony A-350 and it came out 3 years ago, they'll probably come out with a camera that has a lot more improvements than the sony.
Sony A-350 componentsA whopping 14.2 Mega pixels!!!!!!! (thats well, a lot!)
Live view
A screen that you can move.
well those are the main differences. but unless you wanna do 6 foot prints you don't really need the 14.2 mega pixels.
I'll upload a picture with the max amount of megapixels taken by the camera and you'll see how big it can be and still look great! so keep in touch for the biggie!!!!
*sorry I didn't really answer your main question...it all depends on what you need it for.

So I will follow your advice and wait to see what happens
Thank you very much for the advice and for spending time typing them for me.
You're great. And so is your gallery
Thanx again. \

naa they're still good it just came out so Nikon is probably gonna come out with one in about 2 years ...I big step up, but then again you probably don't wanna use the money for a new one. >_<
