Who is popular? Windwolf? Not especially. She has some pageviews, yes, but on average she gets 13 favs per piece
Also, she has uploaded almost 900 frikin pictures in two years (LOL not counting the many she traced that were taken down) So that means she uploaded about 450 pics per year, and since there are 365 days - thats more than one per day
So when it comes down to it, she gets very little popularity from her pictures. Her art isnt what attracts people.
Although she got about 1,000 pageviews the day I caught tons of traced art from her and uploaded it in my scraps xD

It's...identical... I don't get how people CAN'T tell that it was a copy? She may not have traced- but seriously.... There is no way she could have just made that up without looking.

I might also point out that almost all of windwolf's "Dragon" section is copied from one of Neondragon's books. Yes, it's a tutorial book, but she doesn't give credit in the comments, which kind of annoys me. People have to point it out. Even if it's from a how-to-draw book, she should let people know right from the start.

What should I do though? People got mad at me for uploading this in my scraps, and they denied that their style is a rip of of Tani's.. should I make a comparison on these?

I can see why you've been suspecting them. I see so many picture but I watch so many people I have no clue who's it is. ;A;
Well you can't really copyright a style but you can copy and it and it's stil not right. I don't watch that person though so I have no clue on their style ripping. The pose might just be a coincidence if it wasn't so obvious they heavvily ref off not traced everything in thier gallery.
I think these are worth a comparison no one can deny that it's traced from WildSpiritWolf's picture. Thanks for such a fast responce BTW.

Yeah I saw it but I haven't been able to get to it though since I got a ton of messages to go through. You missed one of the pics that was traced from the same piece but they're both down now so it doesn't really matter. ^w^

If they do, so what? ON deviantart they may think its okay to reference and not give credit, but if you do that in the real world your ass could get sued.

I just got back from cruising her gallery and I have to say she's guilty of copying and blatantly tracing a few times. Not only that but there's a disturbing lack of credit or even hints that the pictures were even slightly influence by an alternate style. She's asking for trouble this one.

You know, it's okay to find art stealers and tracers, but this is just kind of ridiculous.
The pose and the style is somewhat similar to the original, but it isn't traced or colored over. It is just a sketch, not some serious art. You could've just warned her to link to the reference picture without overblowing the whole stuff.

Yes credit should be given but not everyone is wonderful enough to do that.
