This was inevitable. I wasn't happy enough with just the most difficult sprite-work I have ever done. Instead I had to go (a little) over the top and add in the logo as well.Anyways, in total this work took around nine "Chris hours", equivalent to four-and-a-half-hours (give or take an hour).
I really love this piece and it'll be my new deviantArt ID. ALL TO CELEBRATE THE METROID SERIES' 25TH BIRTHDAY!!! /endcapslock

Its kinda difficult to explain. Essentially its just like drawing digitally, but on a way smaller scale. Personally, I use old-fashioned MSPaint. lol.

It does take awhile (plus I take a longer time then usual compared to other artists). I made each frame separately, put them into Photoshop and used the Animation Window to make the image move.
