Oh wow. This is flippin' as close to the real thing that I've ever seen. O_O Well, there was that Riku and Lulu that was darn near close, but this looks like it could be pulled off as a real look. Most of the time they look way off in real life. Good job!

Not in the anime, but Vash's hair in the manga becomes gradually blacks...

In Trigun: Maximum (its like a 'season 2' for the series) Vash's hair starts to go black from the over extensive use of his powers.
So yes, he does have black hair. ^_^

Well, the anime steers WAY AWAY from the manga(The manga is what has the hair thing...) It's pretty good in itself, but the manga is much longer and has a longer plotline. For me, I love the manga more than the anime, just because the story was much deeper.

I agree, the manga is darker and more dramatic than the animated series, and even more accurate: watching the anime you don't understand 'why' Knives hates so much humans, in the manga, instead.... experiments on Tessla left me shocked!

I'm a little iffy about the two toned hair (just because aside from that, it's exactly what I'd pictured Vash to look like IRL), but this is an absolutely beautiful cosplay and I love it <3 Intense beauty!

you should! The plot is much more thought out than in the anime, because it was still in production for years after the anime had been finished. Basically the creator of trigun had to rush and help with the anime and didn't initially have time to finish all of his ideas for the story. So he took his time to make sure the manga was everything he wanted it to be, and let me tell you, it is a master piece of work!

I bet it is, I thoroughly enjoyed what I had the chance to read. It's a shame that the anime has such a smaller amount of depth to it, but it's wonderful that the story was extended. I always got the sense that the end of the show was a little rushed, but I've just come to expect that from a lot of anime. It's good to hear it endorsed, too, makes me want to read it that much more!
