Description
Hey everyone! It's been a while since I last uploaded anything. Once again, another sketch I did at school...but in class...that we required to do...I love my animation class! It's so awesome! We had to draw a character with a pose within 10 minutes. And guess who I drew...*points up to drawing* Cloud! Well thanks for looking, I also have the lineart version in my gallery. A reference picture was used: it was a screenshot of Cloud vs. Rosso. I think it came out ok. Comments, complaints, criticism, and questions are all welcomed.Lineart: [link]

Nice work. I have looked across here for pics of Cloud. This is one of the few that seem to have a good proportioning with the sword like either the angle looks funny, the handle is to short or the blade is way to long and narrow. This is more evenly done.

Thanks! Just practice! I used to draw with people with their shoulders and hips sticking out from their sides; just look at things more carefully. That's what I do to draw people.

Thanks for the advice! I'll be sure to do so. I use reference pics too, but since I mostly draw wolves and big cats, I can't get the habit out of me.
Maybe drawing a human with paws? No, no that wouldn't do -_- Oh well I'll practice more.

I really like rough fast sketches I think it shows more of the artists own personality and the way they work, lets 'em develop their own style. this is awesome I love it!!

Even better. Did you ink it in Photoshop too or was that by hand?

Thanks! I just darken the lineart in Photoshop, I like to change to original pencil sketch, lol.

That never works for me because there will always be some area that has a lower contrast than the rest. Partially because my scanner is nothing special and I'm usually too lazy to pull a sheet out of my art pad to scan it perfectly flat

Lol, my scanner really isn't that much either, but eh. I usually draw on printer paper, so I won't have tear out the page from the sketchbook.

Yeah I figure if I ever get around to the webcomic I've been wanting to do I'll use loose printer paper for ease of scanning. Other than that I draw on anything and everything
