Really nice setup.
Was the Corsair Strafe you very first mechanical keyboard or did you had some another mechanical gaming keyboards before the Corsair Strafe? Mine very first mechanical keyboard was the Orion Spark G910.
Before that i had a membrane gaming keyboard the G510s.Β
That was mine very first Gaming Keyboard and now i have the Corsair RGB Mechincal Gaming Keyboard with MX Brown Switches.

Hi,
first of all sry for the late reply. Thanks. I appreciate it.
And no this wasn't my first mechanical keyboard. I had the Corsair K70 with MX-Blues and red only lights before. But the MX Blues were too loud for my roomates. So I got the Corsair Strafe with Mx Silent Keys.
And way back in time, I had the Logitech G15 Gaming Keyboard with that LCD Screen not the orange one, the original blue one do you remember that one? I used it for 10 Years or something.

You mean the one with the orange backlight? It reminds me about the G710 keyboard. It didn't have the blue or orange backlight but the reason of the blue and orange version of the G710 was the type of switch. The blue version of the G710 had Cherry MX blue switches and the orange version has the Cherry MX brown switches in it.

Just curious, why are you running DDR3? You could get 16 GB 3000 MHz DDR4 for like $110. Overall though, really nice CPU man.

No man, Haswell = is DDR3 only.

I could run DDR3 with 2133 or 2400. But I did not.

Oh shoot I thought this was the newest gen i7 (7th?), Shoulda done 30 seconds of research before commenting lol. Anyway, still a nice ass comp.
Recently built my new comp with a Ryzen 5 1600X, gigabyte ab350 gaming 3, 16 GB DD 4 3200, and a GTX 1070 (wasn't trying to drop $500 on a 1080 OC lol). Been running great.

Yeah, my CPU is almost the same of yours(4790k), it will be a long time before we need to change this processor, that's why is so good to buy a i7.

A true pleasure, indeed, my friend. I want a monitor like that one. An aspect ratio of 21:9 at 1440p is in my future...

I would need four of these, one for each of my workstations. Then I would need an office big enough to set them up in...

Ah ok I see. 4 of these monsters will make the project/setup a little bit complicated.
But nevertheless I wish you good luck for your new project/setup!

I shall start with one, perhaps.
Actually, I am holding out for the Samsung 39inch 32:9 3840x1080p screen for one of my 'stations since that will alow all 48 tracks on the mixer to be seen at once. The other 'station will probably get theΒ 39inch 21:9 3840x1200 version for video editing. This will have enough vertical real estate for the time line under a full size preview of the render output. We shall see...
So.... How does that work out for gaming?

Ex3cut3r In reply to slowdog294 [2017-04-10 03:09:51 +0000 UTC]
What do mean by gaming? How the 32:9 will work in games? I think pretty flawless in most games which support tripple monitors by default. The other one with 3840x1200 should work too. But it's not 21:9/2.39:1 it's acutallyΒ 3.2:1
3 of these monters on the desk and in games should be pretty amazing. The funny thing is you still concentrate on the middle one for the most part in games, but the side works for the immersion like in a racing game. It's pretty awesome. For me though one is enough.

I would think that one per machine would suffice, thus I agree with you. Flight sim would be awesome on one of the 32:9 units.
