Welp, here's my sona. I finally finished a ref sheet for them. Nothing too fancy but halfway through making it I save a png WIP version to send to people in Discord and I forgot to re-save any new edits to the canvas as a sai file again. Then my computer crashed. Needless to say, I could salvage the progress I had made before it crashed, but then everything was merged into a single layer making any new edits to the image troublesome, especially the background. As such, I had to leave the background blank at the end of it all. Rip.

So anyway, this is Babel. I designed them with some characteristics I tend to like in designs all meshed together into a single, bizarre entity. They lack any biological sex and they're best best described as a living shadow, being able to become a shadow themselves at will. Because I can't leave things the fuck alone either, it led to me making an entire lore thing about Babel's species n' stuff. I won't go too into it but what I will say is that the species Babel is a part of are called "Lyacon" and they have some magical potential that can give them ability to manifest fire. This along with their tendency to collect shiny things and how as the species grows they tend to grow additional scales all over their body meant they inspired some myths about dragons.

Fun fact: they used to have a slightly different design that lacked all the markings had black horns and forearms and no eyebrows. This was promptly changed after told me about readability and such. Thanks Valo~!
