I've spent about 3-4 days working on this with breaks day long breaks in-between of course.It's suddenly dawned on me that if I ever leave the Megaman fandom or the internet in general, that crap like this is what I'll be mostly remembered for.
Anyway, these are alternative character interpretations in a way. Emo Iceman, as mentioned in a previous comic, was taken from a really stupid joke between me and Thunderblade2001 , so she's partially to blame for him being created. As for Horseman, I asked myself once that 'If Centaurman regrets so much, does he drink to forget his regrets?' and it kinda spiraled out of control from there. So I guess that these alt characters are made from deliberately misinterpreting and/or taking the mick out of the canon characters and making them painfully OOC while still keeping some of the original traits. Anything works providing it's funny. After making this I also have some ideas on alt Elecman, Fireman, Roll and Splashwoman.
(Pointless fact, but you know those holes on the bottom of RMs' feet? Those are canonically used to aid in jumping. However, in official sources Centaurman is also given them despite him being stated to be unable to jump.)

Well, I mean, I kinda got these from making assumptions and drawing conclusions based on a character's traits and throwing some random stuff in there for good measure too.

Would be interesting to see what sort of alternate interpretation you come up with for Springman, if that ever crosses your mind.
I actually made one of my own, once, where he was tired of being treated like a joke... but that was for a roleplaying game, so!

Eh, Springman is one I'm not entirely sure about.
The things we canonically know about him is that he's flaky, enjoys high jumping and hates both stairs (because springy body and maybe he becomes a slinky) and low ceilings (because when he tries to jump his head hits the ceiling). As a further extension of this, the Robot Master Field Guide also mentions him rarely coming out of his room because of that same reason making him something of a recluse. However, he's optimistic, carefree and spontaneous apparently. Also, in the Battle and Chase competition he wanted to use the prize money to buy weighted clothing to help him with his obvious flaw in design, but if you win the game playing as him the game's ending has him being too weighed down by his own clothing suggesting that he either miscalculated or bought too many clothes.
Final thing as well is that when I analyse a character I also actually use drawing from other artists in Japan, usually via Pixiv but not always. The reason I do this is because I can't speak Japanese and I understand that some things can be lost in translation, so finding art of people portraying the characters based off their original given personalities is a massive help. Of course there's issues with people still misinterpreting the characters, but I go by how frequently they're portrayed that way too. There isn't much to say about Springman's portrayal in the Japanese side of the fandom that's different other than people really like drawing him happy and often wearing clothes, but I'm sure we both know that that plays on the fact that he's supposed to be carefree and what he did with the prize money in Battle and Chase.
Overall, there's not much I can do as an alternative interpretation. Maybe I could make him secretly really lonely and always wearing bandages on his head because of his injuries. As an extention to the latter idea, I could also make it so that he often suffers from amnesia because him banging his head so much makes him forget. I don't really know.

Wow. I, uh... was not expecting such a detailed analysis over a random idea. You really know your stuff, Exa. That makes me really happy... but at the same time, kind of sad, too. There once was a time where it seemed like the only way to get extensive info on the series was to be in Japan... or know someone who had access to said info. Well, I was definitely the latter... and it made me feel kind of special, knowing as much as I did about the lore and backstory of things. But... with the advent of sites like the Mega Man Knowledge Base and translated books like the Field Guide, I guess it's not really hard to find that info, anymore.
Still, the fact that people are that interested... particularly you, someone I've had a growing number of exchanges with... does make me happy.
Besides... I still have a pretty decent monopoly on game engine data. How long it takes to charge the Buster, how many frames of invulnerability one gets after getting hit, how far the player slides in this game or that, and so on. It's not especially useful to most people, but every once in a great while... someone does ask.

Ah yes... The early age of video games where the few shreds of backstory either came from (sometimes) the instruction manual or places like Nintendo Power. I wasn't there to see it personally, but I have heard of veteran gamers talking about those times. Really though time moves on, and could anyone expect anything less when we have access to a thing which can allow people from the other side of the globe to talk to each other? Anyway, I'm sure you still know somethings that others don't, and if not then you still get bragging rights for being one of those people who was there during that time and had access to that knowledge. In a way being able to say you were there makes you seem more wiser about the lore in my opinion even if it's common knowledge by now.
Me knowing this stuff makes me feel kinda sad in all honesty. I originally wanted to know the canon characters by the back of my hand for the sake of understanding mostly; other than differentiating what's canon and what's a headcanon when I saw people RPing as the characters or drawing them, I also wanted to try and figure out what the Megaman universe as a whole is like. We get quite a lot of insight into the characters and such but we never really hear about their setting, so I invested about one and a half to two years of my life researching into the RMs, the official art of the stages and the backstory of some of the games and characters. This... This isn't what most Megaman fans are like. I'm very good at reading in-between the lines and use it to my advantage when analysing stuff but, well, it isn't like anyone's gonna ask me about the RMs personalities or my theories on their world so there wasn't much point. In fact, knowing this stuff actually causes me to get annoyed sometimes when people get their facts wrong or make a serious assumption that doesn't quite fit in with the whole setting. However, because not all Megaman fans are like me and not all have access to the official sources then there's still some hope left I guess.
Yeah, knowing that's a thing to be proud of. As much as I find knowing how a game's engine works interesting, I wouldn't be able to remember it all. Sadly there isn't much point in asking because I don't work on making Megaman fan games nor am I one of those meticulous speed-runners who have to be pixel and frame perfect.

Eh. You and I aren't so different. To me, game canon is my canon and my canon is right. Seeing someone misrepresent "my canon" -- without some good excuse, I mean -- tends to put me on edge and drive me up the wall... I guess that's why I like Bob & George, despite the fact they're the #1 culprit for promoting the "Zero kills everyone" theory; Bob & George isn't trying to be "canon-accurate." The dude just made crap up and had it tangentially related to the franchise.
On a similar note, fan games that are trying to be "faithful to the source material" but don't use the physics and logic I'm expecting also drive me crazy. Mega Man 2.5D is a prime example of what not to do if you're trying to impress me. But, that's a story for another time...
Don't be sad that you've dedicated so much time into this sort of thing, Exa. Maybe you won't find "your people" out there... but, if it's something you're interested in, then who cares? Retain and use your knowledge in any way you can. And most of all... have fun.

Emo Iceman looks quite like normal Iceman (bar the black parka, weird eye shadows and emo aura), so if you wanna hug him, you'd probably wanna hug Iceman too.
It's fine if you're into that goth and emo stuff as long as you don't use Emo Iceman as a role model! XD
