Description There's a lot of controversy behind this picture. A lot of my friends tell me that they didn't like the ending of the last Matrix movie, Matrix Revolutions, and so they don't want to see another Matrix movie. However, I liked the entire Matrix trilogy and truly feel another Matrix movie would be the coolest thing (and not more anime like the Animatrix). The only part of the Matrix we never fully explored was the Architect.
To that end, I think it would be cool to see a movie where we could see a Matrix representation of a computer that could be used to design or redesign the simulation.
What would the computer look like?? Well, the hackers in the previous Matrix movies had special keyboards and monitors that showed the Matrix datastream.
So where did this picture/website design metastasize from? I was thinking of something like Matrix meets Star Trek meets Minority Report when I did this. You know, not so many keyboards. But more holographic, and touch-screen, and motion-sensitive, all rolled up together into one sweet package.
And I happen to think that my idea of a Matrix computer would be so cool to see in a sequel. BTW, If any movie producer wants to contact me, my email is advancedphotosolutions@gmail.com (I've already written several interesting plot ideas too...)

Hacker's Matrix Explanation of the Functions
New, Load, Save, Import, Export - Functions that I pulled from the File menu of Photoshop. Seemed like common enough functions that there might be some use for these in the future still.
Agent Designer - This is actually the only element that even hints at the Matrix
Agent Designer Functions (Create, Render, View, Morph, Undo, Redo) - This was taken from the Simulation One computer program in the movie "Simone"
Gatekeeper - This is an element from the hacker's movie that starred Sandra Bullock, "The Net". The Gatekeeper program was supposed to stop to hackers in their tracks, but the program was actually created by the Praetorians, Elite hackers that wanted Sandra Bullock dead when she stumbled onto their secret.
Search Program - Actually this could also be another Matrix reference from the 1st movie... "We have the name of their target." "The name is Neo" "We'll need a search running..." However, Search is also a very common element in many programs so it is included here
Domain Scanner - A hackers tool! Scans an entire domain for an open port. Good for a trojan or wingate scanning
Port Scanner - Scans other PC's for open TCP or UDP ports
Port Checker - Shows you all your local ports which are open. This way you can detect and eliminate remote control trojans on your PC
Port Watcher - Best when used in conjunction with the Port Checker function. This watches your local ports for connection requests and alerts you.
File Compare - Compares two files and shows you the differences.
BIOS Passwords - Anything that can be coded and locked by someone, can be decoded and unlocked by someone else. All motherboards in existence have backdoor and master passwords that can be used to gain access to a system.
Password Generator - Who couldn't use a random password generator to create them a list of passwords to secure their system from time to time. Generally speaking, a simple is any password generation sequence that generates a easy-to-remember (less than 15,000,000 possibilities so also easy-to-hack) password. A Complex password generator uses every character in the English language in any order. Generally these passwords are the hardest to remember (and hack since there can be 10^21 possibilites or more).
CGI Vulnerability Scanner - This is a tool to check a server for known CGI Vulnerabilities
Anonymous FTP Scanner - This is a scanner for FTP-Servers who allow an anonymous login. Ideal if you want to share files with others...
Ping / Traceroute - Ping a server to check if it is alive or trace the route to another PC. This is a great tool for hackers and non-hackers. Especially if you are sitting at your computer while someone is trying to hack you... You can find their IP address and reverse their hack onto them (hack the hacker)
Master Passwords - I was also considering labelling this "Password Cracker". It's design would be to scan a program, BIOS, NETBios, or server and compile a master list of logins and cooresponding passwords for log-on. Different from the BIOS Passwords program since this would be an actual hack, not a backdoor list.
Anonymous Remailer - Can be used for E-mail flooding!
DNS IP Resolver - It's a commonly known that computers translate all internet addresses and email addresses into a series of numbers (almost like co-ordinates). This tool would contact a DNS-server and retrieves the IP address of a hostmask and vice versa. Thus to "Get IP" you would enter the known hostname (e.g.; www.google.com), and for "Get Hostname" you would enter the known IP address (e.g.; 128.157.95.4 - This is a random address. If it's your's I'm sorry... )
E-Mail - The last two functions were entered almost as an afterthought. Since I'm submitting this as a website design (and I am working on creating this design as a fully-functioning website {although not with these function}) it needed something that seemed remotely like website material.
Blog - Same as email. If you submit it as a website design, you need something on it that looks like website material.

Overall

Vision

Originality

Technique

Impact

Very, very nice. The image in itself is simple, and its simplicity positively reeks of subsurface activity. Your well-thought-out options and technical terms are something someone simply reads and moves on, then comes back to to ponder. The font, color, and layout are all very thoughtfully carried out.
Moving on to what you said in the description. Yes, this is an area the Wachowski Brothers didn't explore, or at least not in the films themselves. Your thoughts as to what directions said films might take are innovative, creative and dynamic. Such a movie would be a marvelous addition to the trilogy, and might bring the whole series back to roaring life. Overall, I say marvelous work, keep it up, and I hope to see you go places.

It's wallpaper, not a program.
It was designed to look like a cool program though.

Thank you. I love the Matrix trilogy.
I'm trying to design a website that looks like that (but without all the wonderful hacker's tools ) but the programming isn't going too well.
