I would have to say that the floor texture is a redeeming feature.

Its rendered in a 6 year old program called Lightscape, its modeled in Lightwave.
I cant fix the textures that well,a nd I have no control over the brightness of the light in regard to the rest, that is all physically accurate, and thus fixed in the old program. Same goes for the anti aliassing.
I put in the perspective on purpose, I like the dramatic look. Its not about conveying the true shape of the space anyway, its about the feeling of space and light. both renders are.
The texture for outside Ill see if I can adjust it a bit better. Thanks for all the comment people!

A few things about this...
First, the aliasing on the edge of the textures on the windows really gets on my nerves...and second it seems there's something..wrong with the texture on the top window..it just doesn't look right. Now I'm not a 3d guy...so maybe I don't know what I'm talking about.
I didn't see an issue with the perspective myself. But I agree that the light reflecting off the floor seems a bit too bright...and some shadows on it from the bushes outside would be really neat

i like the quality of the render, but there are some minor issues
the tile texture on the fountain isn't aligned perfectly, same with the stones on the wall in the far right
the bushes outside are also lit up way too much, it kinda hurts the eyes. the rest of the outdoor scene looks good
the perspective kinda screws with the size of the angular column on the right... it appears much bigger than the other two in the room
other than that, it's a neat design for a main hall
