Description lot of people ask me how I do my pics. So, here's a little strip with the main steps..

- pencil draft on paper (you can see the huge difference with my finished pencil work like this one : [link] )
- inking, still on paper. (Yes, I'm old scholl, and also lazy, because I ink on the same paper)
- scan & vectorization (to give lines a more polished look)
- coloring
- adding shadows (to answer this reccurent question : no, there's no magical automatic shading, you have to do it manually, like painting. Only 3D softwares are able to manage shadows automatically)
- Adding background etc, final pic.

Hope you enjoy this "behind the scene" picture.

And how long does it take for you to create a picture like this?

Very enlightening. Similar to my own process, except I scan from pencil usually, without the hand inking. Please, what program do you use to vectorize? That would be the magic solution to save me countless hours! I don't have a copy of Illustrator or Flash... I found something that emulates a vector-like effect in Photoshop, but would like more options!
