Beauty of fandom ^^, I have a whole long theory on it, but its just speculation, I'll admit. I hadn't really thought of them as a couple before myself.

I've always thought of Angeal's mother to be Genesis's mother since he had her genetic code mapped onto him in the fetal stage, but then again it's never revealed who his biological parents really are. But the whole genetic mapping kinda throws that into the conclusion that Gillian is his mother, in my opinion at least

I can see that a bit too, which is why the Angeal/Genesis pairing always just threw me off to no end.... but yah they've never said who his real parents are so the possibilities are endless

Now that I think about it, they never revealed it in the Ultimatum either and with the unlikeliness of another FF7 compilation addition, fandoms will find every loophole for every theory.
