This is a great excersise! I see this happen so often! And it's an easy rut to fall into. Once you find a face shape that you know you can draw well, you want to keep coming back to it. But characters need individuality! And this little practice idea is good for EVERYONE, not just those having this stumbling block. It is a great way to get creative when you can't think of anything to draw.

It works especially well for creature designs, I have used this. One was a dolphin elephant thing that was adorable and horrifying.
