Description Hello All.
Recently I've been looking at all the programs on Windows and the skins that are being applied for the sole purpose of making windows act/ look like mac. And I completely understand it. I honestly prefer the workflow in OS X much more than in windows.
So it occurred to me a while ago that there should be an alternative shell. Much like litestep. So instead of having thousands of programs like object bar to "emulate" the universal finder bar in OS X, when (at least in my experience) it has little to do with the current program, and just gives the look of a finder bar and no real functionality, and the many dock programs out there and the many other skins and tweaks and hacks and background tasks, there should just be a replacement shell that's easily skinnable and actually serves a justifiable purpose, AND emulates (to a degree) Mac, in one shell.

So I came up with this. As of now it's unnamed and is only a dream with a very (very) rough mockup . But I hope that one day, this will be real.
The general gist of the shell is this:
the dock at the bottom acts as the OSX dock, only instead of minimizing to the the dock as a screenshot with an icon, it acts more like the close button in OSX, where the application window closes, but it is still running. This "minimizing to icon" is shown under the chromium icon on the dock with a downward facing arrow. Another thing shown on the chromium icon is an "aero peek" style popup. In the lower right of this pop up is an "expand" icon that would blow up all active windows for that application (a la expose). There would also be a global control that would do the same for ALL windows.

the start menu is where the apple logo is in OSX, and the start menu remains relatively unchanged (for now). Of course, there is a universal menu bar that actually serves a purpose. Also there is a clock and icons on the right, I just didn't put that in 'cuz I'm lazy.

I really want this to be realized, but have very little knowledge around programming. If anyone who reads this could contribute something to the project it would be great.

Thank you!
(Oh and ps the wallpaper is "Dawn of a New Day" by Hypnotic [link] )
