Sorry I didn't upload yesterday, DeviantART was (and still is) being an asshole >B( and it was also a very long busy day so I didn't have time to compile this.... (i hope it loads ok...)Fullview!
Here are just a few of the refs I used during the project (sorry for the horrible lighting and backgrounds; took these in the upper commons of Herron xD) So you can see this trinket actually does exist (/and just how horrible I did) x3... and I love it.
(also I have long fingernails >>; I don't snip them too often so they usually end up painfully breaking off... when will I learnn?? D8 )

Hmmm. That reference is really unusual with the thick glass on either side. My only quibble with the original render was how it bulged out, because I thought you were looking off a pocketwatch... but now I see what you were trying to reproduce and it makes much more sense. What is that thing anyway? It seems way too bulky to be an ordinary pocketwatch... I mean if it's surrounded in glass you can hardly get in to repair it.
