Description
Hi guys! If you are going to be in the Indiana area, you should really come out to the Indiana Comic Con! It's it first year but it has some really high profile guests and events already, and a great artist alley. I will be selling things at table AA16, as Crow's Song Studios. I will have an array of prints, 8.5 x 11 and 11 x 17, buttons, and I'll be offering table commissions. I offer 2 types: Chibi and Stylized Portrait (bust or waist length). This one is for the second tier of the Stylized Portrait category, with watercolor wash and ink.Portal 2 has been one of my favorite game and inspirations for a long time. I wanted to pay homage to it in this demo painting
If you want to see the lower tier, it's here:
And here is a demo for the Chibi Category:
Thanks for looking and hope to see you sometime this weekend!

I love this watercolor of Chell, and the gels in the background are a nice touch, too.

Your picture is gorgeous!
I like the way you have drawn Chell (her expression and her pose).
What really shines about this picture is the different shades of orange and blue on the crisp white background.
The colors are sharp and are beautifully arranged.
Is Chell wearing a skirt?

Thank you lol, it was fun just splashing the paint on the paper and seeing what came out of the shapes... I kinda made a mess though xD; Oh, that's just the edge of her jacket, with the sleeves tied in the front like normal, but since it's a waist up shot it does look more like a skirt I guess

lol xD well, the paper was a bit too big so I had to scan in 2 parts (top and bottom) then piece it together in photoshop and flatten it. Normally my scanner really dulls out the colors too but for some reason this time it didn't do it too bad... but normally I'll have to adjust the contrast and brightness in PS to better match the actual painting. I just have an HP printer/scanner combo... nothing real fancy, but it gets the job done it seems though I wouldn't mind a larger scanning bed...
