Description A man built a library at the top of a tower. The spiral stairs was narrow and slippery, but his wife still tried to climb them. She struggled to the top and finally witnessed a whole wall with books. Although, she could not reach them. He had stopped building the spiral stair on the opposite side of the bookcases. She screamed as the only thing that stood between her and the books was a fall back down to the bottom of the tower. This was her husbands answer to her opposing him, but instead of feeling despair she felt rage. She knew, this was her husbands final attempt of mockery, but it would be to no avail. She decided to show her husband how her lust for freedom of knowledge could not be ridiculed – how she never could be tamed. She threw herself off the stairs towards the books. She did not reach them and fell trough the spiral of stairs she had given her all to master. Her husband found her lying like a crashed dove in the middle of the towers entrance. He was shocked, but frowned as he saw that his dead wife was smiling. She was smiling, while her blood slowly reached a couple of books she had managed to pull down with her.

This is really interesting but I'm terrible at deciphering these kind of things without any given context

It's a girl and she is bullied for looking like a boy.

I'd have never have got that one. The best guess I would have had is this is a metaphor for lust for knowledge or something.

You know what that wasn't even a guess. I just read it again and realised the word choice is ripped straight from the text ;_;
