Description After his banishment from his clan, Azmodeus took a few years to get back on his feet. A privateering pirate named Cicera Alia Fenry took him in to recover his injuries, certainly showing her nice side but the woman didn’t give charity without the prospect of gain. Having a black dragonborn amongst her crew, even on with clipped wings, would be a vital asset. It took some time to get over his ailments, and seasickness as well (many fish died to acid-hurling off the side of the boat). However, Captain Fenry saw it as a very worthwhile investment. Certainly the raw strength Azmodeus was able to provide after he got his footing matched more than two men could do in several tasks, and he caught on quickly enough how to man certain stations.

But the pirating life didn’t last forever, and one awry missions sent the crew into disarray, their ship shattered and sinking to the bottom of the northern sea and those who survived picking a direction and swimming, by morning drifting to wherever they could make it to. Some ended up to the western isles, Azmodeus himself getting the to the mainland shore southbound of their wreckage. Whether or not the band ever came back together, or if Cecila even survived herself, Azmodeus never heard.

Seeing his second opportunity of a life left in shambles, Azmodeus wandered almost aimlessly southward, desert sands and dusty wind leaving him on the edge of his life that likely should have been ended by now. He was lucky enough to find civilization, or at the very least intelligent life, as a high-end trading city of the elven merchant’s guild came into view. Two guards came out to meet Azmodeus at the gate, and even in his state the dragonborn could easily have been the end of one of their lives, if not taken both, but he knew what was going to happen to him in these lands. He allowed himself to be taken captive, taken into servitude. There was no question to Azmodeus his ‘labor’ would be entertainment, that a dragonborn fighter would be turned into a gladiator here. He was content with what options that were left for him now: train, or die. If he survived the arena, he would be that much closer, gaining knowledge and strength in combat, to killing his father. With his ‘second chance’ gone in his own eyes, Azmodeus solely had vengeance as his goal now. And at the very least least, he would be fed and sheltered, even if it was in shackles.

Eventually, Azmodeus did fight his way to earning his freedom, only strengthening his resolve of taking on this vengeful journey. He didn’t change his process, choosing to become a sellsword in the mindset of ‘succeed or die’. He would get stronger and stronger, earning money as he did, continually fighting for profit, until he would have enough skill and resources to take on his father. Azmodeus had nothing else to live for in his own mind, so if it got him killed then so be it. So far, he wasn’t dead, and many had met their ends by his massive blade. He is equal parts a powerful and scary addition to any party, just hope he doesn’t want you dead....
