Getit? Cause it's over the Grand Floridian?? Grand sunrays! *ahem* Ok, well, moving on. I saw this shot at work one day and I literally could not believe how incredible this looked. It literally looks like the opening from The Lion King where a light shines down on Simba. Literally. I took a picture as fast as I could as the shot didn't last more than a minute or two so hooray for crappier phone shots but... oh well. I was also a tad bummed because in the seconds before I took this shot the surrounding sunrays weren't there and the main sunray was much stronger. Either way this was such an incredible sight and I feel lucky to have seen something so unique!!Ok, this fact's connection is shaky at best but I don't really know much trivia about the Grand because, well... if I'm being honest it's not a favorite resort of mine. It's beautiful of course but I'm not a fancy person so the fanciness of the Grand is just a little too much for me. Anyways...
Resorts are classified and even priced not mainly by their amenities or theme, but actually to their proximity to parks. Nearly all the deluxe level resorts that are bust-your-pockets expensive are right next to the theme parks. The Polynesian, Contemporary, Grand Floridian and Wilderness Lodge are all next to Magic Kingdom, Boardwalk and surrounding resorts are just outside of EPCOT and Animal Kingdom Lodge is of course right next to Animal Kingdom. Moderate resorts and value resorts tend to be farther away and what really differentiates the two are the amount of dining options and amenities available!
Yknow, maybe this shouldn't be a fact. Maybe it should be a vacation planning tip
