I am... just started... I haven't practiced drawing very much but I am pretty good in photoshop otherwise... I don't think it will turn out fantastic but it is good to branch out.

sure ! Practice is the way to do something good looking. Look at my older work and compare ^^. You'll see how i sucked before ....and even a bit now .

Excellent. Also any advice on the actual drawing part? I am doing some referencing and I know it wont come right away but I was just wondering if there is anything else that might help

as you said , it won't come right away ...best thing to do is practicing and using reference. Also if you start drawing , and don't know a lot of technique , i advice you take a subject you really love and experiment different techniques on them . For instance if you love cars , draw a lot of cars and experiment volume , perspective and shading . for imagination , take a look at a loooottt of pictures of the theme you want to represent and make your own interpretation from those images. ^^ got it ? hehe pardon my frenglish ^^
