everyone is a magnet sometimesbut you're not
(i am constantly drawn to you)
i need a diversion
something to make me forget about your hair
for five fucking minutes
i have put states between us
and still i find myself
on a monday evening listening to nothing but Queen
and
drinking beer at 5 am
with people who have a decade on me
(i have never felt so musically naive in all my life)
watching the man my best-friend loves
wink at me
(i do not alert her of his tendancies toward me)
smiling with a big fake grin (eyes sparkling)
and wishing it were you
