stuff can actually be triggering to some people who might have had traumatic experiences, and it's a good thing to be considerate of them. also, phobias, if you were arachnaphobic would you like to be browsing through pictures and suddenly come across a big spider in your face? on deviantart you generally don't do the spiders thing but you can tag things on places like tumblr, that was a bad example but still. it's just being considerate.
