this is how i do the thing
in case my handwriting is too shitty:

1. eye outline yeah

2. bam.

3. make a jagged edge, shade in

4. fill in w/ lines

5. shapes like this [arrow pointing to the shapes]

6. shading!

7. new layer! set color to white and make a blob. then erase some lines through it.
