"Alfred!" He screamed, as multiple bullets rained upon his brother. His brother's scream was short live, as blood flowed over his bottom lip. Deep blue eyes wide with shock.

"M-matthew..." the American whispered, his hand grasping the younger brother's red maple leaf hoodie. The Canadian reached up an wiped some of his older brother's tears away.

"Al?" the younger spoke choking on his tears. "Are....are we going to die here....?" The American smiled, fresh blood dripping from his mouth.

"No." He intensively raised his arm and gave his brother a thumbs up sign. "I'm the hero..." The Canadian could help but to smile at his brother's line. The oldest brother's eyes then widen, and began coughing and wrenching.

"Come on! We got to go Alfred!" He said, voice shaking. The younger brother then attempted to lift his brother up, the American groaned, and cursed slightly under his breath.

"N-no..." He murmured. "J-just go. They only want me anyway..." The brother shook his head sending tears over his brother's face.

"I-I can't!" He sobbed, resting his head on his brother's blood-covered chest. The American leaned up and pressed his lips to his brother's forehead, a small trickle of blood from the older's lip dripped down the younger's face.

"Go." The older rasped sternly. He shook his head no.

Suddenly there was a bang at the door.

"This is the last room! America has to be in here!"

The American's eyes widen behind cracked glasses. "Go!" He shouted, shoving his brother weakly. The Canadian let out a cry of surprise, but ended up obeying his older brother. He headed toward the window, giving his brother on last look.

"I love you Alfred." He sobbed, biting his lower lip. The brother turned and opened the window. Jumping out of the two story house, rolling as he landed. The Canadian escaped with minor injures and a spranged ankle.

If only he could say the same for his brother. The younger watched as flames busted through the window, ugly black smoke followed the fire out into the night. The young brother let out a muffled sob as the star patch from his brother's bomber jacket landed next to him, burned ever slightly around the edges. The Canadian took the patch in his hands, holding it like he would with a fragile maple leaf. He held it close to his chest, weeping over the lost of his brother.

.....Wow...this picture didn't turn out how I wanted it... o_o
I was originally gunna make a cute picture for 's birthday present. (seriously, check out her art, it is so effin amazing! 0_0 ) but the title "Brothers in Arms" popped in my head and the picture turned all....uh... dramatic...? I guess. o_o

also, I know the story probably has some OOCness, but I typed at the top of my head. so I could care less if the characters are in character. |D
