Well, it's been a while since I submitted a deviation.I've never actually drawn a mermaid before, and I wanted to try it
I hope you like it! ^^Done in Photoshop CS3
Time: 3 hours lineart, 6 hours coloring

xD thank yous! I was drawing this in one of my computer classes, and there was a stage I was drawing her without clothes, And there were a lot of guys standing around watching me, so I had to wait until they left O/////O;;;

This is cool as! Her tail is meger awesome! If she got in a fight she could take out three guys with that thing! (that said I'm now wondering when a murmaid gets into fights...but anyway! coolness!)

Her hair looks so nice, and I'm really admiring all the subtle colors of her tail.
I think it might have been better if the vines were shaded, but that's just me :3

Seriously though... I can't decide the best part... the coloration is awesome... it reminds me of the rainbow effect on a fish's skin in the sun ( if you've ever seen that before). It's either that, or the fact that generally, mermaid fins are about the length of a girl's legs, and this one is like, twice as long. And it works!

I was really hoping people would like this one, since I spent so much time on it. I like longer tails on mermaids I guess, that way they look more surreal and not like a girl's torso stuck on a goldfish :3
