Description
So, for my party, I made a poster of Edward, and stuck it up on the wall. We played "pin the zits on Edward's face" (with multicolor zits so it looks more like he has some kind of disease) and then we colored on him with colorful Sharpies.
And this is the result.
I think he looks like a transvestite now, but maybe that's because of the lip-liner.
And then everybody signed it.
PEOPLE INVOLVED IN THIS MASTERPIECE (who are on DA):
The other one is my little brother (it says "Moofin's monkey brother" on the poster XD)
This...okay, I suppose it isn't really 'art,' but, it's too epic to be put into my scraps. TOO EPIC.
Download to read all of the little comments on the poster XD
The poster took six pieces of paper in case you're curious.
Edward Β© Stephenie Meyer I suppose...
improvements to Edward Β© the people mentioned above and myself. X)
And the screams of a thousand fangirls echoed in the night...

I thought your art was amazing anyway, but when you get your friends into it, it's better than DaVinci!

Well, I believe it's around 67% or so, the population of girls to boys at my school...and in a school of mostly girls, Twilight fans can get REALLY obnoxious, and a lot of my friends really don't like Twilight because of the over popularity. And the guy that plays Edward in the movie is ugly.

The guy who plays Edward doesn't like Twilight XD Me and about 10% of my freinds didn't like it because its just... bad. Twilight is really really bad.

I didn't think the books were bad, exactly...just REALLY not worthy of all the attention they're getting. Harry Potter I can understand, it was VERY different. But Twilight is a clichΓ©. The characters are kinda 1-dimensional and the quality of the writing could be better. They're okay. It just annoys me how blown out of proportion it all is.
Oh, and also I kinda hate the author because she TOTALLY ripped off Stargate in her book Host. I haven't even read it, but I've certainly heard enough. And from that point on is when the whole Stephenie Meyer craze started to really bug me.

You've got some good points there.
Oh, and I love watching interviews with SMeyer, she's just so... dilusional, my favorite Meyer quote is "When I'm writing, its not like I think about what I'm doing!" my freind told me about that one. Her brother censors her Emails too, and he's really rude, I think there must be some conspiracy going on with the Meyer clan.

She doesn't think when she's writing...and it shows. XD
Is this really the role model we want all the poor teen girls to base themselves off of? They're going to think it's okay to write bad romance novels and not think about what they're doing DX

The worst part is a the CHILDREN reading it, the Twilight universe is no place for a ten year old. They are all going to grow up trying to be like Bell bells and Eddykins... (shivers)
I weep for humanity... Twilight could have been 10X better if Meyer decided to actally WORK HARD on it. Thats what we should be teaching children, that you can be a famous author if you actually put forth effort.
Have you read Twilight GN? Its up here on the DA, its basically a condensed version of Twilight and even some fans have responded positivly to it.

Oh, man, really. I haven't read Breaking Dawn, but I heard a LOT about it...and that's really not what ten-year-olds need to be reading x_x
I heard once that chick-flicks give people an impossibly perfect view on relationships, and so that messes with their ability to...be in a relationship. Or something along those lines. I shudder to think at what damage Twilight will cause to all these preteens. Maybe that'll free up some otherwise decent men for the less Twilight obsessed, though, which would be good I suppose.
And well, all the stupid people will think that they can halfass everything and still do well in life, which will free up jobs for the rest of us, too.
No, I haven't read it...is it meant to be satirical?

kittyboo93 In reply to explodingmuffins [2008-12-31 06:03:33 +0000 UTC]
yeah, breaking dawn was pretty bad, and the original version was supposed to be even worse
You have a point with the relationship thing, most of the girls and the boy I know who are obsessed with Twilight get into relationships with people they have only just met, and consequently, have a nasty breakup soon after. I think its because Twilight led them to belive that their partner should be 'erfect' in every way. People need to read Twilight with a grain of salt.
Yes, but a weak work force = a bad economy.
Yes, it is, and it does its job well. My freind made it and worked really hard on it too, planning out the story before drawing it, etc... the first page can be found here. [link]

I suppose you're right about the economy...hey, some adults read Twilight. Stephenie Meyer is the cause of America's current economy! FAIL
Hahaha, that's pretty good. The comic is so accurate.

Yeah, and people are still willing to buy a lot of Twilight stuff, and see the movie ten times, even though there are some people out there who can't afford to feed themselves... it doesn't make much sense....
It sure is good, Twilights almost done last time I checked, and she's going to do the whole series.

Yup they have some seriously awsome ones, but I can't understand when people get super offended just for making fun of Twilight in a lighthearted way, but oh well. I can understand it when people get offended by people saying things like "Twilight is for fat girls who shop at hottopic" though (thats an actuall quote) It gives antis a bad name... well a WORSE name.

yeah, there really is, and I've seen both sides be equally rude to each other, if they could learn to be more polite to people, well, the internet would be a happier place.
That comment about Twihards being fat was awfull, and untrue really. But I've watched videos by twihards singling out even the most polite antis and totally trashing them, not to mention all the reall life violence.
