...yeah...

(long description, I know...)

I dunno...I just started doodling one day, like I do a lot, and it turned into some mass of experimentation. I tried so many new things for this picture, so it looks a little weird. And halfway through it, I completely forgot why I was doing this picture to begin with O.o And it looked even more weird then...but I know my reason for this picture again, so I'm good XD

Okay. I tried the sky a little different, and probably won't be doing it all streaked like that in the future. The trees really pissed me off, mostly because photoshop kept crashing (wtf?) and I had to make the brush 4 times before I could keep it!! I tried my grass brush too...I think it's a little small though. Also tried shading the clothes differently, and I'm not sure I pulled off the look I wanted it to have for that particular kind of fabric...oh well. The ghost thing was difficult, but I like the way it looks now. It sucks that I couldn't keep some of the brushes I made for it though. (photoshop crashed...) And I have some weird ocean/beach thing at a funky angle/fur trees growing on the beach going on in the background. I have no idea if fur trees can even grow in sand. Well, it's my planet, I can say they grow on the beach if I want XD And then there's my two smallest moons (of four moons), Lunamica is the smallest, and I don't know what to name the second smallest. Lunamica's debris is a little much though...it should really look more like rings than anything else. It looks more like the moon a-sploded than anything else XD

The center of my picture...one of my vampires, Altair, who has no face here. O.o I like it that way though. You can't really tell what his emotion is or something, I don't know...but I like it this way. This is also the first time I've been able to draw his whole body and actually like the way it came out. I've had the character in my head for seriously over a year, and he is so hard to draw for some reason. >.< The hands came out cool, I think...and I don't know why everyone keeps saying my boots look huge. That's just the way I draw them, and they look way too small to me if I make them any smaller. Big boots are awesome, anyway.

And now for the picture's meaning. Really only Casey and Rwyter (and myself, obviously) would get it. All of my characters have much more detailed personalities and backstories than I ever tell about...but in short, Altair has gone through a whole lot, and most of his life (even as a vampire) was pretty depressing. The ghost he's kinda reaching out to represents the one point in his life when he was actually really happy, and how much he wishes he could get it back...(to Rwyter, this would explain why he seems grumpy all the time. He's not a happy person.)

Okay, I think I got everything I wanted to say XD Sorry for the really super long description...I can't help it. 'Tis a strange picture but it's the best one of Altair so far for me
