Description My secret for my friend's school secrets book.

Only I was planning on drawing something like this to post anyway.

Yes.

This is how I really feel about it.

Society's idea of relationships is disgusting. This is why I have yet to want a boyfriend. I like people, sure, but I've never wanted to actually do any of that stuff with them DX

I guess it works out that I don't want any children or even to get married.

Everyone keeps telling me that I'll grow out of this too, which does not make me feel ANY better.

Blah, I'm kinda cranky right now, maybe I'll edit this later so it's not so...I hate the world.

© me anyway, do not steal/copy/repost elsewhere.

Edit: I drew this about a year ago now, before I really even knew about asexuality, or AVEN, or anything, hence the kinda cranky description I wrote for it.

I'm also in a nice huggy relationship now too. So there is hope after all!

Ah, this is why I love aces. I think kissing is okay, but no French kissing (yech!) and penises scare me. Enough said.

I believe I share the same views on relationships as you.

I love the point and the general "awwwwwww" of this picture.

Yes exactly!! Exactly how I feel

I really don't like Society's idea of relationships, even the nonsexual parts, like 'you must long for each other every minute of every day and it must hurt when you're apart because that is real love' and 'no kissing on the first date' and all these ways in which couples are expected to act. All I want is to be really good friends with someone, and be so open with them that we can hug and kiss and hold hands if we like without it spoiling a lovely friendship and complicating everything.

Relationships are too expendable these days, but friendships always seem to last longer cause sex makes everything complicated it seems.

Non-sexual relationships are the best sort of relationship.

So fluffy and sweet. I'd rather hug or hold hands than kiss.

I know exactly how you feel, because I to neither want marriage or kids.

Getting told you'll grow out of it is very frustrating.

I agree. I want to get married and have children, but why can't you wait until your with the person you love most? 'I Love You' is so over used now. I would only use that for the person I want to spend the rest of my life with ya know? People think 'We've been going out for like 2 weeks why haven't we done it yet?' Disgusting

Thank you. These days all people can think of when it comes to relationships is kissing, but they never look past that, like, funny moments, snuggling, hugging, no. Just kissing and sex.

And yes, it IS disgusting.

Indeed. It's awful.

That's probably why so many people are just awful at maintaining relationships...because they don't know what's really important.

Haha! I love it. I don't know what you want to edit about it but it's perfect. (NB: That was a while back when you wrote that so if you have edited it: well done.)

I can't help but notice that society's relationship has correct spelling.

Oh I meant, edit the description, because I was in a bad mood at the time when I wrote it XD I should still actually, because I made drew this before I even really knew about asexuality. I should probably add that in there c:

hahaha yeah "hug tiem" is just me being an internet nerd/dork XD

Thanks!

Gotta agree here. In junior high, I would go to dances and all the kids would be dry humping on the floor. Fourteen year olds grinding pelvises. Didn't change much in high school. And...if these guys grinding up on the girls are 'just friends', what are these girls doing with their boyfriends?

Maybe my horomones are lacking or something, but that's not what you're supposed to do in high school. You got it right here, my friend.

explodingmuffins In reply to pixelkirby [2009-06-11 08:10:40 +0000 UTC]

That's what I've been wondering...maybe I just have a lack of hormones or something...

I don't think that if they're rubbing against each other that way that they're really 'just friends'. And I've heard of people actually having sex at dances. In middle school. In public. Why...why would you want to do that? Really...if you must...at least do it somewhere you're not likely to pick up 232893574309 diseases.

I don't understand the human race. We are not rabbits. Sex is not something you do at a social gathering. And I'd rather people not suck on each other's faces in public either...I don't care if they do, I just don't wanna see it X_X

pixelkirby In reply to explodingmuffins [2009-06-11 12:57:20 +0000 UTC]

....Ewwww. Having sex at a dance? Who DOES that? That's just filthy! But I guess I can imagine someone doing that. A friend hosted a 'rave' for her birthday party one year. THAT degenerated into an orgy really, REALLY fast. I mean, no one actually had sex (as far as I know), but for all the things they were doing, they might as well have. It was really offputting to those of us who just came to have, y'know, non-sexual fun.

It's times like those when I kinda wish America had some PDA laws. I mean, I don't mind people holding hands and kissing...but sucking face and getting nasty in public is just...not something other people need to see. Yeah, it's great that you have that kind of relationship...just keep it in the bedroom, please?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

explodingmuffins In reply to pixelkirby [2009-06-11 21:31:14 +0000 UTC]

yeah. I don't know if they need to be laws, just...it shouldn't be socially acceptable >.> And that's how I feel about it too, I'm so happy for you, just, please, I don't want to have to see it!

People are gross.

Love is something that is full of uncertainty and is beautifully tragic in many confusing ways. It is something that make people act in the most irrational and sometimes most noble ways and can even break people down...

But no matter what happens, there are always more hugs!!

That's what makes them that much more awesome.

explodingmuffins In reply to Zane-the-Foxwolf [2009-05-18 07:23:32 +0000 UTC]

I'm not talking about love, I'm talking about physical relationships. Which, in my mind, are two very different things that often go together in that boyfriend/girlfriend kind of relationship.

I kind of have a fear of bodily fluids, so kissing and anything beyond that grosses me out >.>;; Ehhh.

Virtual high-five/awesomeglomp!

Pfft. People would always say that "Oh, you'll grow out of it, blah blah."

Shoo, whatever. I've felt the same way for a long while. I don't see what's so great about getting married and all that rot. It might just be me but I don't like sharing.

There has to be other people out there that feel the same way besides us...but it seems like all my friends, even the ones that don't seem like they'd ever have a boyfriend, have had a boyfriend! It makes me kinda angry.
