The different media used here seem to merge together beautifully. I wouldn't have guessed this was mixed media at first glance until I read your description.

You think so? I just used graphite to quickly sketch the form down, and used water with soft pastels (like water colours). At the end I just used some acrylic for a few expressive marks.
The workshop was only 3 hours long, but the demonstration was about an hour long, leaving 2 hours to do this and clean up.
