Description
I decided to combine two of my passions with this project. I wanted to design a historical character.
I had a lot of fun working on this I got to do some history research and practice my design and drawing skills.
Here is some background on the character herself:

She is Zenobia, the badass queen of the Palmyrene Empire (3rd century A.D.)
The city of Palmyra (in present-day Syria) was governed by the Roman Empire. Zenobia was married to the roman governor. When he died, she took over and separated from Rome, creating her own kingdom.
She then conquered roman Egypt and other parts of the Roman Empire. She was known to be a warrior queen, who would go to the front lines with her troops. The Palmyrene Empire ended with her defeat to Emperor Aurelian of Rome.
She claimed to be a direct descendant of Cleopatra. So i tried to include a bit of Egyptian parts to her designs. As well as Roman and Persian elements.
